Biography Wrote about local antiquarian matters in Yorkshire and was resident in Leeds according to the accession book. There are two Samuel Margerisons listed in the 1901 census who might match this person. According to the Leeds Mercury of 4.3.1882 he joined the Leeds Naturalists Club and Scientific Association. He appears to have lived in Calverley according to several press reports in the Leeds Mercury around this date. In the same paper of 4.10.1887 he is described as a farmer and timber merchant.
