Biography According to the Antiquities Department index cards, Ashmolean Museum Young was the restorer at the Ashmolean Museum circa 1900-1937. He made replicas of the Alfred Jewel. He is listed in the 1901 census as W.H. Young, aged 30, born in Middlesex London and living in St Giles, Oxford as a 'Plastic Art Restorer' [Alison Petch [as part of 'The Other Within' project 2006-9] 08/03/2007]
