Individual's Details

[Miss][full version unknown could be Mary or E.] Venables

Career Unknown

Biography Nothing is known of this donor except she was resident in Oxford according to accession records but it seems possible that it is not the same person as Mary Venables as that object was given in 1941 from a different address whereas this one was active earlier in the century I believe. A Miss E. Venables was a member of the Ashmolean Natural History Society from 1898 and that might be her. In the Jackson's Oxford Journal of 25.11.1899 two Miss Venables are listed as being resident in 26 Norham Gardens (as this donor is) Miss E and Miss M. Venables.
