Biography Described in the accession book as 'Surveyor, Minster Lovell, Witney.' He seems to have been the surveyor & inspector of nuisances to Witney rural sanitary authority, surveyor of highways to Bampton East highway board. In the Jackson's Oxford Journal of 3.4.1880 he is described as 'Sanitary Inspector' for Witney, in the same journal on 27.11.1880 he is described under the heading of Bampton West Division as being the 'Inspector of Nuisances for the Authority' [Alison Petch [as part of 'The Other Within' project 2006-9] 28/02/2007]
