Biography Museum assistant in University Museum from 1879 until 31 July 1932, after 53 years service. He worked for Edward Burnett Tylor. He is listed in the 1901 census as aged 38 born in Oxford and living in St Giles, Oxford as an Assistant in Museum. He was awarded an Honorary MA by the University, in the OUMNH annual report for 1938 it records that he had been the 'Assistant Secretary' [Alison Petch [as part of 'The Other Within' project 2006-9] 22/02/2007]
