Biography Foundries of Roscoe Place, Sheffield: 'just before you come to Roscoe Place near the junction of the Infirmary and Penistone Roads, was alone in its glory until 1806, when Mr. Shaw built the stove-grate works, and with his partner, Mr. Jobson, laid the foundation of that trade which has obtained for Sheffield the manufacture of stoves and fenders previously claimed by Edinburgh and London' [Alison Petch [as part of 'The Other Within' project 2006-9] 04/05/2007]
