Biography Stroud Museum in Lansdown, Stroud was completed in 1899, but did not open until 1931 when the first Curator was appointed. Initially an independent museum an endowment by a local landowner and a joint management arrangement with Stroud District Council. The Museum is now housed in the Museum in the Park [Alison Petch [as part of 'The Other Within' project 2006-9] 18/04/2007]
