Biography Nothing is known of this collector. 4 Marianne Cooke's are listed in the 1871 census [the nearest one to the date we know she was living], one is aged 62 and living in Southwell, another is aged 33 and living in Steyning near Shoreham. The other two are too young to be married. In the 1861 census there is another Marianne Cooke [who disappears in 1871] who was 41 and lived in Newtown [Alison Petch [as part of 'The Other Within' project 2006-9] 04/01/2007]
