Biography Nothing is known of this donor except he lived in Oxford. In the 1901 census there are two people listed who might match this individual: George Shorey aged 57 born in Wantage, Berkshire and living in St Giles parish Oxford who was a college servant, and George H. Shorey aged 23 born in Oxford and living in St Giles parish Oxford who was a brewers clerk, the first might be the most likely [Alison Petch [as part of 'The Other Within' project 2006-9] 26/02/2007]
