Biography Nothing is known of this donor, he may have lived in Oxford as the item was purchased and had been dug up on Cowley Road. There are two Joseph Walker's listed in the 1901 census that might be this person, the first is aged 31, was born in Oxford and lived in Cowley St John parish and was a coachman, the second was 53 also born and lived in same places and was a librarian. The second may be more likely [Alison Petch [as part of 'The Other Within' project 2006-9] 05/03/2007]
