Biography Mathematical instrument maker of New Bond Street, London. optician to Queen Victoria, he was grandfather to Frederick Augustus Dixey who also gave objects to the Pitt Rivers Museum [Alison Petch [as part of 'The Other Within' project 2006-9] 10/01/2007]
