Career Army / Colonial Servant
Biography This is described in the accession book as 'a younger' John Sturrock, therefore presumably a relative of the other John Sturrock [see 1121]. This seems the best bet, his son who was a colonial servant before and after the first world war (finally ending up District Commissioner, in Basutoland], Who was Who does not mention his war service, but he is likely to have served in the army [Alison Petch [as part of 'The Other Within' project 2006-9] 27/02/2007]
