He is probably the person listed in the 1901 census as 'Hy Geo [sic] Madan aged 62 born in Gloucestershire Cam, living in Gloucester described as a 'Science Lecturer retired''. He is probably the Henry George Madan listed as an exhibitioner at Corpus Christi College, Oxford in the University Intelligence of the Daily News 22.5.1861, according to the Liverpool Mercury of 27.1.1862 he had been elected a fellow at Queens College [Alison Petch [as part of 'The Other Within' project 2006-9] 07/02/2007]
