Career ?Academic / Religious / Historian
Biography This should be the French History academic, fellow of Magdalen College [confirmed by accession book] etc as details above, indeed address in accession book and on-line biographies agrees but this man did not die until 1956 whereas we have an object from his wife in 1946 given in his memory. It seems unbelievable that there should be two J.M. Thompsons living at the same address simultaneously! [Alison Petch [as part of 'The Other Within' project 2006-9] 28/02/2007]
