Biography Worked in the colonial service in Nigeria, where in his spare time he carried out archaeological investigations. In 1947 Fagg was appointed Assistant Surveyor of Antiquities in Nigeria and in 1957 he was appointed Director of the Department of Antiquities. He designed and had built Jos Museum and other Museums in Nigeria. In 1963 he was appointed curator (Director) of the Pitt Rivers Museum, Oxford from which he retired in 1975 [Alison Petch [as part of 'The Other Within' project 2006-9] 15/01/2007]
