Individual's Details

[Mrs][full version unknown] Grisewood

Career Unknown

Biography Mrs Grisewood either lived in, or owned Wellington Hotel in Wellington Square, Oxford according to the accession book. Nothing is known of her for certain but there must be a possibility that this is the wife of Frederick Henry Grisewood (1888-1972) who studied at Oxford, worked for the BBC, and served in the Army during the second world war, but who was brought up in Daylesford in the Cotswolds. If this is right then he had two wives Gladys Elizabeth Roffey who he married in 1915 and whose marriage was dissolved and Aileen Croft Scriven who he married in 1941 [Alison Petch [as part of 'The Other Within' project 2006-9] 23/01/2007]
