Biography Resident of Brandon, Suffolk according to accession records. Flint knapper and internationally known expert in gunflint technology. He was not a forger but made replicas to illustrate flint-working. He is listed in the 1901 census as Frederick Snare aged 43 born and living in Brandon, West Suffolk a 'Gan Flint maker' [sic][Alison Petch [as part of 'The Other Within' project 2006-9] 09/03/2007]
