Biography If this is Christopher Welch then he was an expert on the flute who published several accounts of its development. The only Christopher Welch listed in the 1901 census of around the right age [actually nearer he should have been around 69 rather than the 71 listed] was aged 71, born in Somerset Lanagath, living in Richmond Surrey 'on own means'. This may be the same person [Alison Petch [as part of 'The Other Within' project 2006-9] 06/03/2007]
