Biography Artist of portrait from which photograph is taken. 'Painter; founder-member of the Camden Town and London Groups. Lamb served as a medical officer in the First World War and used his experiences as inspiration for several large paintings, one of which, Palestinian War Picture (1919, Imperial War Museum), was used as an illustration in T.
