How much of the UK's collections for various types of artefacts come from England?
4 out of 5 UK artefacts in the Pitt Rivers Museum come from England [79 per cent]. For most classes of artefacts there is a similar pattern. In many cases an even higher percentage comes from England (for most classes 9 out of 10 artefacts come from England rather than the other UK countries). However, there are some exceptions, notably tools of whch only 70 per cent come from the England, other poorly represented classes include masks, physical anthropological specimens, and trade items.
