Although this is quite a long list it is not necessarily comprehensive. There are a large number of other items in the founding collection said to have come from the London Wall or locations which suggest they are part of the same investigations, these may all have been collected by Pitt Rivers but they do not mention this or the date of 1866 and have therefore been excluded. There are other items which come from areas which are very close to this investigation which are dated 1865 or after 1866, they may also have been collected by Pitt Rivers but are not listed here.

Note that each artefact is noted by its accession number and accession book entry. In some instances further documentation has been provided because it gives additional information confirming the excavation link.
