What are the most commonly occuring objects in the Pitt Rivers Museum's English collections?

Just like the global, European and UK collections, [ add links here to those ] the English collections are dominated by tools (especially stone tools), this time they form 46 per cent of the UK collections, nearly than 1 in every 2 objects. No other object is nearly as common, though again there are significant numbers of pottery items (mostly sherds) which account for one in every ten objects, textiles objects (nearly 7 per cent), writing related artefacts (6 per cent), and boxes (at more than 5 per cent).

Note: Many artefacts are classified as more than one type of object, for example a drinking horn would be classifled both as a vessel but also as food related.
