Photographs are very common types of object in both collections (it is easy to store large numbers of photographs because of their size and shape). Tools are also common in both collections but other types of collections seem to vary in popularity quite a lot. Writing is the third most common OXCMS type of object, but only number 9 in the PRM collections; Textiles are the second most common PRM type of artefact, but only the sixth in the OXCMS collections etc.
