i.e. over half of all known spend on English objects between 1884 and 1943 (when recording of price stopped) was on stone tools.
NB it is not known whether there is a deliberate bias here, ie whether only certain types of objects routinely had their price recorded, but this does not appear to be the case, rather it is the case that certain types of artefacts were purchased more often than others
